Camille Oosterman

Youth & Adult Learning Programs Manager

Camille hails from Kennebunk, Maine and attended Hartwick College, where she studied English and Creative Writing. It was there, at Hartwick’s PA-built challenge course and their Awakening orientation program, that she fell in love with adventure education; after participating, she returned for four additional years as a program leader and course manager. Camille first came to Project Adventure as an intern in 2012 and now serves as a facilitator, leader of summer camp and youth leadership programs, and client support representative. She volunteered for Northeast Association of Experiential Education (AEE) from 2015-2021, and serves on the Board of Directors for On Belay, a small non-profit offering connection through adventure for kids with family members diagnosed with cancer. She also spent a year as a paraprofessional for students with social emotional needs at O'Maley Middle School in Gloucester, MA. When she isn’t on the challenge course, Camille loves hiking, camping, playing board games, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, and playing with her dog, Finn.
