Reid grew up along the Connecticut River in the town of East Haddam, Connecticut.  He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Communications. While attending UConn he worked at Four Arrows, the university's challenge course.  This is where Reid found his passion for adventure education. He also spent 4 summers as a wakeboard instructor at an outdoor adventure water park. When not out on the challenge course,  Reid enjoys going to the beach, wakeboarding and going to concerts.
