Who We Work With
We provide services for:
Schools: we help schools use Adventure for social-emotional learning, community building, and physical and mental health.
Camps and Youth Programs: out-of-school time is a critical space for youth development and Adventure – with or without a challenge course – integrates well into these “third spaces.”
Businesses and Organizations: for decades, our consultants and facilitators have worked with businesses, nonprofits, and the public sector, to grow stronger professional teams, more effective leaders, and healthier workplace cultures.
And more! Adventure is a way of facilitating human development. We have supported veterans' organizations, early education and childcare, international NGOs, retreat centers, rehab and behavioral health programs, youth detention centers... anywhere humans are trying to grow and work better together, we have tools to offer.
We seek to bring Adventure to as many facets of our society as possible to improve how groups work together and how community members support each other.
Methods
Developed over our 50+ year history, “Adventure” is a method of learning through facilitated group experiences.
We host retreats, facilitate student programs, run support groups, and lead workshops, where Adventure is a method for learning, growth, and development.
We also offer curriculum, training, and tools for others to replicate our approach.

Adventure combines:
Experiential Learning: A model of using novel experiences and real-life challenges to develop new skills and insights.
Group Development: We work with the psychology of groups to increase trust, improve communication, and become stronger collaborators over time.
Facilitation: Our facilitators are highly trained experts at building engagement and customizing each Project Adventure experience to the group and their goals.
Challenge Courses: Though we don’t always use Challenge Courses, they are a key part of our approach and we believe in their power. Combining high and low elements, our challenge courses are intentionally designed and built to be a tool for group development and personal growth.

Interpersonal skills, such as communication, trust-building, and problem-solving
Leadership skills for leaders in both traditional and nontraditional roles
Empathy, value, and belonging for all
Our Service Model
Youth Learning & Leadership
We partner with schools, camps, and youth programs to help young people learn the skills of teamwork and leadership. We facilitate transformative group experiences both on and off the ropes course. Our experiential approach builds more relationship-centered learning communities, develops young leaders, and fosters social-emotional learning (SEL) and mental health.
We also train teachers and other adults in our curriculum, methods, and models.
imPAct Professional Services
We provide services for the mission-driven workplace, to help professional teams work together, build healthier cultures, and develop effective leadership. We believe that healthier organizations have better results and are part of a healthy community. Our specialty is nonprofits, but we work with any professional group that wants to get their team rowing together in the same direction.
Challenge Course Services
We know the power of challenge courses (also known as ropes courses) to teach the capacities that are key to healthy communities - like teamwork, communication, trust, problem-solving, and mutual respect. We build and maintain challenge courses for others, and train them to use these courses to build interpersonal skills and stronger communities with participants of all ages.
