Kay Hoveskeland

Youth Learning Programs Facilitator

Kay Hoveskeland comes from Orlando, Florida, and earned her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Central Florida. Before discovering the power of adventure and joining PA, Kay worked in voter education and was heavily involved with non-partisan voter registration on college campuses across Florida. Beginning her career working for the League of Women Voters, Kay championed voting access for all and worked relentlessly to involve the youth in activism. Through her work with the League and other similar nonprofits, Kay found joy working with the young adult and youth populations. Hoping to experience better weather and find more community, Kay and her partner settled in the Greater Boston area. Kay has always been a huge advocate for increased community and the needs of people, specifically among youth, and she hopes to see a future where ‘third spaces’ are common, and the power of community is used for the greater good. Outside of PA, Kay loves to cook with her partner, explore new places, and obsess over her dog and cat, Diesel and Kitty Princess.
