Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for educators, facilitators and other professionals looking to explore the topics of diversity, multiculturalism and prejudice reduction using the adventure group process.

You will:

  • Explore the topics of diversity, multiculturalism and prejudice reduction using the adventure group process.
  • Develop self-awareness in regard to these issues.
  • Experience the use of metaphor to highlight intra- and inter-group diversity.
  • Build skills in the following areas - use of metaphor, facilitating dialogues around difference and self-management during conflict/confrontation.
  • Receive a copy of PA's text, Diversity in Action.
  • Develop an understanding of how to use adventure to support your own programs and curricula with a more accessible cross-cultural dialogue.

This three-day workshop begins at 9:00 A.M. the first day and ends by 5:00 P.M. on the final day. Registration begins at 8:30 A.M. the first day.

Graduate credit: 2 or 4
CEUs: 2.4

Tuition: $430 Meals: $60
