Adventures in the Classroom

Who should attend?

Elementary, middle and high school educators, core content area teachers, special educators, college level instructors, curriculum specialists, trainers and other educators who want to use experiential learning and adventure methodology into the classroom to enhance academic outcomes.

Participants will:

  • Learn strategies for incorporating Challenge by Choice, Full Value Contract and the Experiential Learning Cycle into the classroom setting. 
  • Learn experiential activities that are fun and develop social and emotional competencies such as trust, respect and constructive risk taking in a classroom setting.
  • Learn to teach to multiple learning styles.
  • Develop a plan for using experiential methods and adventure teaching in their own classroom.
  • Create a lesson plan to use with their own students.
  • Share lessons with other participants and receive feedback on their own lesson.

This four-day workshop begins at 9:00 A.M. the first day and ends by 5:00 P.M. on the final day. Registration begins at 8:30 A.M. on the first day.
