Adventure Curriculum for Physical Education (2 day workshop)

Who should attend:   

Physical educators, recreation specialists, teachers, practitioner or camp staff.  Anyone who is interested in implementing a sequential curriculum that addresses Social and Emotional Learning and physical skill development (Project Adventure's k-12 Adventure Curriculum for Physical Education) in their program.

You will:

  • Learn to connect adventure activities to specific learning outcomes, state and national standards, using the ACPE text as a guide.
  • Receive a copy and learn how to facilitate activities from the Adventure Curriculum for Physical Education (during workshop you'll select the appropriate level: Elementary, Middle or High School).
  • Learn age-appropriate assessment tools for adventure education.
  • Explore core themes of the curriculum by grade level.
  • Discuss how to integrate PA's ACPE curriculum into your specific program.
  • Experience a fun, positive and professional environment and learn how to recreate that in your own environment.

This two-day workshop begins at 9:00 A.M. the first day and ends by 5:00 P.M. the final day.  Registration begins at 8:30 A.M. the first day.

Prerequisites:  Recommended by not required:  foundational PA workshop or equivalent.

Tuition: $315 Meals: $30

For workshops located in Beverly, MA or Covington, GA, meals are required; lodging is optional. Other workshop site policies on the availability of meals and lodging vary. Please refer to site locations for more information.
