Professional Development Points
Professional Development Points (PDPs)
Project Adventure is an approved Professional Development Provider in Massachusetts, New Jersey (#2633) and Texas and an approved provider of Washington State clock hours. Other states may or may not require approval for training. Please check with your state department of education or local school district to determine whether or not a Project Adventure workshop will qualify for PDPs or clock hours.
What Are PDPs/Clock Hours?
PDP/clock hours is a generic term for the certification of learning opportunities for certified teachers. Each state has a different term describing this process and different requirements for both teachers and providers of professional development. In most cases, one PDP or clock hour equals one hour of training.
PDPs are available for most PA workshops. Each workshop description lists the number of PDPs/clock hours it is eligible for.
If PA is an approved provider for a participant’s state, we will provide a PDP certificate upon request:
- Custom workshop participants must request certificates in advance of training
- Open enrollment participants can request a certificate from their trainer at the workshop.
