Administration Internship
Description:
The Administration Internship is most appropriate for those who have an interest in the behind-the-scenes workings of a progressive non-profit organization. Working primarily in the office, this position will involve assisting the registrar and the customer service team within Challenge Course Design and Installation (CCDI) and Training and Consulting (T&C). Interns can expect to learn about workshop administration and registration, proposal development, project tracking, scheduling and resource allocation.
Potential Responsibilities:
- Registration: Support the registration function through data base management
- Customer Service: Respond to client inquiries via phone and email
- Administrative: Phone coverage, data entry, and creating customized packets and mailings for our clients, as well as general administrative support to several different departments
- Program delivery support: Work with our facilitators and administrative coordinator to create appropriate packets and workshop materials
- Other responsibilities could include, assisting: the Challenge Course Design and Installation Team, the Product Sales Team and the Sales Team
NOTE: Responsibilities will vary based on an intern’s skill level, area of interest and the current needs of Project Adventure staff.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic learner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service, organizational, writing skills and communication skills
- Non profit, education or Adventure/experiential programming background helpful
- Computer skills; preferably Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Lotus Notes
- Independent worker
- Ability to commit to a 3-6 month position
