The Inspection Process
1. Scheduling - Scheduling is done on a first-come/first-serve basis. Whenever possible we will arrange to inspect and repair your course when we do others in your area, which may result in savings for you. If you are aware of other challenge courses in your geography that would benefit from our services, please encourage them to contact PA.
2. The Inspection - On-site, PA will conduct a thorough hands-on, physical inspection of your challenge course site (trees/poles/gymnasium), all elements, and every piece of equipment.
3. Safety Concerns - If your course requires immediate attention related to any critical safety concerns, we will tell you, in writing, on the day of the inspection.
4. The Report - Soon after your safety inspection, you will receive a comprehensive written inspection report. This document includes a detailed evaluation of the condition of each element and piece of equipment. The report also provides recommendations or suggestions that could extend the life of your course and dually anticipates future repairs so you may consider them in long-term budget planning.
Our Commitment to Safety
A course is only as safe as the people who operate it. In addition to maintaining your elements and equipment, it is important to maintain your staff’s technical skills. We strongly recommend pairing a Technical Skills Refresher Training with your annual course inspection. Contact our Program Development Team at 978.524.4554 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your refresher.
For more information or to schedule an inspection or repair, please call 978.524.4605 or email email@example.com. If you are calling for a repair and you have not had your site previously inspected by PA, it will be helpful to provide us with a recent inspection report from your current vendor prior to this call.
Timely maintenance is necessary to sustain any adventure program, so when your course needs attention, PA is the vendor trusted by hundreds of course managers to get the job done right so you can keep programming. We will work closely with you to ensure that all maintenance is completed in a timely manner and in compliance with the highest industry standards.
Challenge Course Repairs
No matter how you look at it, inspecting your course is a good idea. An annual course inspection by a qualified professional is not only a strong recommendation of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), but it is also required by most insurance companies and state health departments. Having an annual inspection and regular maintenance also usually results in a cost savings for you in the long run.
Quite simply, Project Adventure is the most experienced and the most trusted challenge course inspection vendor in the industry. As one of the longest-standing Professional Vendor Members (PVM) of the ACCT, we participate in a peer-review process to ensure that we continually meet industry standards. Since 1971, we have been developing and inspecting new elements, hardware, and equipment that has kept us at the cutting-edge of the industry. Whenever PA services your course, you can feel confident knowing that we will do so with the highest levels of honesty, integrity, and skill.
