Graduate Credit

Project Adventure partnered with Plymouth State University are pleased to offer workshop participants graduate level credits from PSU. PSU Graduate Credits may be applied towards a M.Ed Program with a focus in Adventure Learning.

Additionally, these credits may be transferable to other institutions. Participants should check with their college or university to ensure that credit is transferable.

Graduate credit is available for all Project Adventure workshops, except one-day programs. Up to four graduate credits may be earned for PA workshops. Two credits are awarded for participating in a workshop and completing a reflection paper. Additional credits in two credit increments may be earned by completing PSU’s Graduate Independent Study Option within three months of completing a workshop. An Independent Study may involve a project that results in systemic change, curriculum revision, grant applications, or creating a Web-based research project. The topic and extent of the project can be determined with the guidance of a PSU adviser and adjunct faculty. There is a per credit fee of $120 plus a $25 course registration fee.

How to Apply for Graduate Credit through the PA/PSU partnership?

  1. Register, pay and attend a PA workshop.
  2. Complete the PSU graduate course registration form.
    • Clearly indicate the name of the PA workshop you are registering for on the registration form. The department and course number are already provided on the registration form (PA 5560). This should be the same as your certificate of attendance.
    • The number of credits for participating in a PA workshop is generally two; however, there are a few PA workshops that are four credits.
    • Students registering for an additional two credits for an independent study project must clearly indicate this on a separate line on the same registration form. The department and course number is the same (PA 5560); however the course title should clearly be listed as Independent Study.
  3. Please return the PSU registration form with your full tuition payment along with:
    • A copy of your PA Certificate of Completion for the workshop(s) attended.
    • A 3-5 page reflection paper for each workshop attended. The topic of this reflection is to review the learning experience and its application in your professional environment.
    • If registering for an Independent Study, please include a completed Independent Study Proposal Form.
  4. Mail graduate paperwork and form of payment to:
