Challenge Course Inspections Inspection Process Scheduling Warranty Challenge Course InspectionsAn annual course inspection by a qualified professional is recommended by Project Adventure and is a requirement of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), as well as many insurance companies. The Inspection Standards of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) state that an annual course inspection "by a qualified challenge course professional for integrity of all hardware, materials, equipment, and condition of the environment in the vicinity of the element is required." Some health departments are now requiring camps to have annual inspections as well. In addition, many insurance companies are now requesting that a Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of ACCT conduct course inspections. As a PVM, Project Adventure delivers the highest quality course inspection available. PVM membership requires participation in a peer review process to ensure that we continually meet industry standards. The presence of a full-time Risk Manager and an in-house Engineering Department enables us to be at the cutting edge of the industry. Inspection ProcessWe conduct a hands-on, physical inspection of your elements and equipment. Annual inspections are used to evaluate the condition of trees, poles, cables, ropes, hardware, equipment, and to inspect the construction techniques of all connections. If your course needs immediate attention you will be notified in writing on the day of the inspection. Soon after your safety inspection you will receive a written inspection report. This document will include a list of your elements and equipment available at the time of inspection, as well as your course's history (to the best of our knowledge), date of inspection, and the name of the organization and inspector conducting the inspection process. The condition of each element and piece of equipment will be graded and commented on. The report is an opportunity for you to be informed of recommendations or suggestions that could extend the life of your course. In the report you will be notified of what to monitor, future conditions to be anticipated, undesirable conditions, and equipment that has exceeded its working-life time and should be retired. Pricing StructurePricing is formulated based on your geographic location, the number of challenge course elements you have and the potential of scheduling inspections with other clients in your area at the same time. SchedulingScheduling is done on a first come/first serve basis. During the peak season (May – September) scheduling can have a longer lead time. We will make every effort to schedule your work as soon as possible. To request an inspection quote and/or date please fill out the Challenge Course Inspection Request Form.
